This curriculum focuses on actively engaging students in the development of financial literacy by using manipulatives as well as other representations. Students will work independently and cooperatively to gain understanding of how money works. They will learn to think critically and apply strategies and make real world connections.
This curriculum is aligned to Georgia’s Math Standards: Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them, Reason abstractly and quantitatively, model with mathematics, Use appropriate tools strategically, Attend to precision, Look for and make use of structure, and Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
This curriculum will focus on Understanding Money, Budgeting, Saving, Credit, and Entrepreneurship.
